Dr V.Sujendran

Qualifications

Mr Vijay Sujendran Consultant Upper Gastrointestinal and Laparoscopic Surgeon MBBS, MRCS, MD, FRCS.

Mr Sujendran studied locally at Perse School Cambridge prior to entering medical school and qualified as a doctor in 1999 with distinction in Anatomy and Pharmacology with Honours in Physiology. He did his house officer training in surgery and medicine (internship) at Acute Worcestershire Hospitals and moved to Nottingham to pursue Basic Surgical training (BST). Following completion of BST he moved to Oxford where he did research in surgical oncology and higher surgical training.

Mr Sujendran did his higher surgical training in Oxford and successfully obtained all sections of the membership and fellowship examinations on first attempt. He was offered fellowship at the prestigious MIE (Minimally invasive) unit in University of Pittsburgh USA after completing all the Board examination but declined in order to take substantive consultant Upper Gastrointestinal surgeon post at Addenbrookes Hospital Cambridge.
